Save Alexandra House — the sole original building remaining from Brentwood’s first days in Mill Bay, 1961

Nestled in the heart of campus among glossy, state-of-the-art facilities, Alexandra House is the only building every generation of Brentonians has passed by.

With a rich history — once serving as a nurse’s station for the Queen Alexandra Solarium for Crippled Children — it stands as the last original structure from Brentwood’s establishment in Mill Bay in 1961. Alexandra House has witnessed countless milestones, including the school’s transition to co-education in 1972, Alexandra house being the first girls residence.

While admittedly no longer suited for use as a boarding residence, its original facade remains a cherished symbol of the school’s heritage — a romantic, historical cornerstone worth preserving.
